Her recent inauguration of the ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ program stands as a testament to her visionary leadership and commitment to the welfare of the underprivileged.

During the inauguration ceremony of Zahra Homes/Maskan Ravi, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed her gratitude, stating,

“Thanks to Allah Almighty that 100 deserving families have got their own roof and house. I appreciate RUDA and the Ministry of Housing for completing Zahra Homes/Maskan Ravi in a short span of two and a half months.”

She further emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing housing shortages, announcing plans to provide 100,000 houses to deserving families within a year. This initiative aims to alleviate the housing challenges faced by approximately 2.2 million families in Punjab who currently lack their own homes.

The ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ program offers interest-free loans up to Rs. 1.5 million for individuals owning plots ranging from one to ten marlas. Beneficiaries are required to repay Rs. 14,000 in easy monthly installments over seven years, ensuring affordability and accessibility.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif also highlighted the program’s transparency, stating that a robust check and balance system has been implemented to maintain merit and fairness. She reassured allottees,

“I want to tell the allottees of Zahra Homes that this house belongs to them for life. This is your house which Allah Almighty has given and will always be yours.”
